This policy explains what personal data Qingdao SAGEIC Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“SAGEIC”, “we”, “us”) collects through sageicbiotech.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little: our website exists to answer business inquiries from pet brands, importers, distributors and retailers.

What we collect and why
1. Inquiry forms
When you send an inquiry through our contact page or a product page, we collect the details you enter: company name, your name, business email, country, business type, estimated monthly volume, product interests, whether you need private label, your message, and the product you asked about. Our form software also records the date and time of submission, your IP address, browser (user agent) and the page you submitted from, to help us deal with spam and follow up correctly.
Why: to reply to your inquiry, prepare quotations and samples, and manage the business relationship that may follow. Legal basis (where the EU/UK GDPR applies): steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list because you sent an inquiry.
2. Website analytics (only with your consent where required)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website — for example which pages are read, which country visits come from, and whether an inquiry was sent. This helps us improve our content. Google Analytics uses the cookies listed below. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing or ad personalisation.
- For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default and are only set if you click “Accept” in our cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent.
- For visitors elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time by clicking “Decline” (or “Cookie settings” in the footer). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used.
When analytics is off, Google’s Consent Mode may send anonymous, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed) that cannot identify you.
3. WhatsApp and email
If you contact us via WhatsApp or email, we receive the information you choose to send, including your phone number or email address. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp LLC / Meta, whose own privacy policy applies to your use of that service.

Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Hostinger — hosts this website, its database (where inquiry submissions are stored) and our email.
- Google — provides Google Analytics (see above).
Inquiry details are read by our sales team in China. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
We are based in China, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. When personal data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers. By sending us an inquiry, you understand that your details will be handled by our team in China so that we can respond.
How long we keep data
- Inquiries: for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required for accounting, tax or legal reasons.
- Analytics: Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
How we protect data
Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to inquiry records and our mailbox is limited to staff who need it to respond to customers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, China’s Personal Information Protection Law or U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected, or data deleted;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email sales@sageicbiotech.com. We will reply within 30 days. We do not sell personal information as defined by California law.
Children
Our website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
